Steering this 9-day ArteFino Lounge pop-up at The Balmori Suites Chef’s Table are Chefs Angelo Comsti and Don Baldosano of Offbeat Bistro. Known for their thoughtful and playful take on Filipino comfort food, the chefs will be presenting a curated menu featuring crowd favorites from their bistro, as well as new dishes exclusive to the pop-up.
To complete the experience, Boondocks Brewing joins the table, pouring bold, locally crafted beers to pair perfectly with the Offbeat menu. Expect full-bodied brews and crisp pours that round out the experience with a distinctly Filipino finish.

At first glance, Filipino and Middle Eastern cuisines may seem worlds apart, but look a little closer, and both share a love for bold flavors, warm hospitality, and food that tells a story.
From June 12 to July 13, 2025, Khaiba comes to The Balmori Suites Chef’s Table as an exclusive pop-up exploring this unexpected harmony. The name comes from the Arabic word for shock, echoing the Filipino kakaiba—something different.
Helmed by Chef Nouel Catis, the pastry talent behind the original Dubai Chocolate, and Chef Sonny Mariano, the award-winning culinary force behind Tasteless Food Group favorites, the collaboration explores the creative tension (and harmony) between Filipino soul food and Middle Eastern depth.
The result? A bold, thoughtful menu that doesn’t follow the rules while honoring its roots. A truly kakaiba experience.
Story Behind Khaiba
Khaiba was born over dinner in Dubai, when Chefs Sonny Mariano and Nouel Catis met with Tasteless Food Group founder Charles Paw. One question sparked it all: What if Filipino flavors met Middle Eastern spice?

For Chef Nouel, it’s a homecoming. After 16 years in acclaimed kitchens like Burj Al Arab, Sofitel Fiji, and Westin Beijing, he returns with a signature blend of Gulf techniques and Filipino soul.
On the savory side, Chef Sonny, known for reimagining Filipino fare in Scout’s Honor and Seafood and Oyster Bar, brings heirloom ingredients, coconut milk, and bold umami into dialogue with Middle Eastern spices and methods.
The Menu: Nostalgia Meets Nakakaiba
Chef Sonny leads the savory menu, blending Filipino comfort with Middle Eastern influences. Expect at least two inventive plant-based dishes, alongside bold cocktails infused with labuyo, tamarind, ginger, and regional herbs for the perfect pairing.

Tagine-Style Lamb Leg Kaldereta: Northern-style stew made with coconut milk, figs, apricots, and almonds; slow-cooked to tenderness.

Terms and Conditions for Rockwellist Points Usage with Aruga
1. Overview
Aruga Rockwellist Stays are overnight stays at Aruga Apartments by Rockwell redeemable using Rockwellist points following the established point system.
2. Eligibility and Redemption
Each Rockwellist member may redeem a maximum of two (2) Aruga Rockwellist Stays per calendar month. Blackout Dates (December 24, 25, 30, and 31) apply.
Redemption is limited to either two (2) separate 1-night booking or one (1) consecutive 2-night booking, regardless of room type.
Aruga’s additional services (e.g. massage services, food & beverages, parking, etc.) cannot be redeemed using Rockwellist points.
Aruga Rockwellist Stays are non-transferable and reservations made must be under the Rockwellist member’s name.
Redeemable overnight stays for eligible Rockwellist members according to the following point system:
1BR Suite: 15,000 points (increased from 10,000 pts)
2BR Suite: 25,000 points (increased from 15,000 pts)
3. Reservation Process
An advance reservation of at least 72 hours prior to arrival date is required to redeem an Aruga stay using Rockwellist points.
Members must place their request through the Rockwellist app ‘Stays’ button to process their reservation. An email prompt will be received both by the member and the Aruga team once the request has been submitted.
An email from reservations@aruga.com.ph indicating their confirmation number will be received by the guest once their booking has been confirmed.
4. Point and Promotion Rules
Aruga Rockwellist Stays do not earn Rockwellist points.
The redemption cannot be combined with other ongoing promotions or offers.
5. Modification and Cancellation
To reinstate any redeemed points, modifications or cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the arrival date.
Points will be forfeited if cancellation occurs less than 24 hours prior to arrival.
Terms and Conditions for Rockwellist Points Earning with Aruga
1. Rockwellist members can earn points for every completed Aruga stay depending on the room type booked. Each room type earns equivalent points per night.
2. The application of points is applicable only for bookings made via Aruga’s official website and direct channels (walk-in, phone in, email, SMS/Viber/Whatsapp)
Bookings made using corporate, wholesale, long stay, and other similar contracted rates are not eligible to accumulate Rockwellist points.
3. Aruga Rockwellist points are non-transferable and are only applicable under the registered guest’s name.

Power Plant Mall is introducing a more convenient and seamless shopping experience in 2025 with the next evolution of the Rockwellist Rewards program. In line with its commitment to continuously enhancing customer experience and satisfaction, the mall will officially transition to a fully digital, scanner-based rewards system beginning June 1, 2025.
This means the manual receipt upload feature on the Rockwellist mobile app will be fully phased out, making way for faster, smoother, and more rewarding point accumulation.
Say Goodbye to Manual Entries
Starting June 1, 2025, all Rockwellist Rewards points will be earned exclusively through in-store scanner devices across participating Power Plant Mall tenants. Customers no longer need to manually enter receipt details or upload images—just scan your Rockwellist QR code, and you’re good to go.
How to Join Rockwellist Rewards
Getting started is easy. Here’s how:
Download the latest version of The Rockwellist App via the App Store or Google Play.
Tap “Sign Up” and complete your account registration form.
Upon submission, a verification email with an activation link will be sent. Open your mail app and click “Activate your account here.”
Once verified, reopen the Rockwellist app and log in to your account.
Fill in your personal details and you’re all set to shop, scan, and earn.
How to Earn Rockwellist Points
Earn points every time you shop or dine at participating Rockwell establishments:
Shop and dine as usual.
At checkout: a. For non-F&B tenants: Once your receipt is printed, tap your Rockwellist Rewards QR code (from the app) on the scanner. b. For F&B tenants: Show your Rewards QR code to the staff—they’ll scan it using their mobile device. c. For purchases on Shop.TheRockwellist.com: Enter the order reference number from your confirmation email into The Rockwellist app.
Points are credited to your account within minutes.
For Tenants Eligible for Rockwellist Concierge Assistance:
Select tenants without a POS system are eligible for manual transaction upload through the Rockwellist Concierge. To qualify, transactions must be submitted on the same day of purchase. Requests made after the day of the transaction will no longer be accepted.
Shop as usual.
Wait for your official receipt to be printed.
Proceed to the Rockwellist Pop-Up Booth at the R1 Level Lifestyle Hallway (located across Commonwealth).
Approach our friendly concierge staff.
Present the following: a. One (1) valid ID b. Your official receipt c. Your Rockwellist mobile app

Understanding the Rockwellist Points System
Rockwellist points are classified into two types:
Qualifying Points Used to unlock and maintain your membership tier. Valid for 12 months from the date of transaction. Do not decrease when redeeming rewards. Points earned from transactions older than 12 months are no longer qualified for tier membership unlocking, maintaining, or renewal.
Consumable Points Used to redeem rewards from the Rockwellist catalog. Valid for 24 months from the date of transaction. May fluctuate depending on earned and redeemed points.

Moving Fully Digital
To make things simpler and more seamless, The Rockwellist is going fully digital.
Shoppers can now earn points instantly by scanning their Rewards QR code at checkout. Just a friendly reminder—manual uploads will only be accepted until June 1, 2025, so it’s best to keep the app handy while shopping.
It’s a faster, easier way for customers to enjoy the perks they love.
